Fever

the feeling you get when you
daydream for a couple of hours
and then wake up
and it tastes like fever in your mouth

you drink two cups of black coffee and it tastes like fever
you fill your lungs with thick smoke and it tastes like fever
you watch TV-shop for an unknown period of time and it still tastes like fever

and you realise it will never stop tasting like fever
and you surrender
and eventually you fall asleep
and then wake up
and it does not taste like fever
but you do not realise it
as you do not remember it

and you daydream again
and you wake up
and... fever.
